September 10th 2026 Newsletter. What's been happening at Crafted by Alison plus updates from Stampin' Up®
Hello & welcome to my latest newsletter.
Thank you for taking the time to read my musings & craft offerings. I hope all is well in your world.
My dodgy ankle has finally improved enough for me to re-commence my walking & I've enjoyed getting back out again. This week I walked across to my sister's to celebrate hers & her husband's birthdays. I was a glorious spring day & there were some stunning wattle blooms along the way. Thankfully I don't suffer from hay fever like some of my family!
This week my husband & I enjoyed a lovely mini break in the city & attended a screening of Labyrinth at the Arts Centre which had the musical score performed by some of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. We haven't seen the movie for many, many years & I loved David Bowie but we were surprised when we saw many of the audience dressed in character. It felt a little like we were at a COMICON event!
We travelled in by train so didn't have to worry about parking, had a lovely lunch & walk along Southbank then enjoyed a yummy dinner before the show. Our apartment had a lovely pillow present for us but even with the supplied ear plugs were were woken around 3am with horrendous thunder claps! 10 floors up perhaps meant we were closer to it. LOL.
After a yummy brekky we rode back home to get ready for the footy & I'm happy to say that the team won & are now playing in the Grand Final this weekend! It was a great game with a little rain (footy weather!) and the most beautiful double rainbow. We're so proud of how well they played & wish them all the best for the game.
On Sunday we enjoyed a lovely dinner with the kids for Father's day. It's always lovely to spend time as a family, especially when they've moved out.
On the crafting front, I showed how to create 2 different ways with embossing folders for my Sunday post & yesterday I shared how to use the new Stampin' Up!® Hot Foil system.

For World Card Day on October 3rd, Stampin' up!® are holding a Virtual Card Retreat on the 2nd & 3rd October with a special kit designed to make 15 cards over the two days. More details below.
After last year's Advent Calendar selling out super quickly, Stampin' Up!® are again offering a crafting Advent kit with unique items behind every door over 12 days.
Another Christmas themed item recently released by Stampin' Up!® is the Advent-ures Craft Class. This class features instructions to make 24 Advent gift boxes. The supplies are sold seperately.
The September Product of the Month item is a beautiful pack of foiled DSP.

Stampin' Up® sold out of their Advent Calendar kit in 2025 & their second calendar is now available to order. Click on the link below to go directly to my online store to check it out.
Paper Pumpkin kits
Stampin' Up!® Paper Pumpkin kit subscriptions are now available to all markets around the world! You can subscribe to receive a mystery kit every month or buy them individually when you want them. Subscriptions are for 3, 6 or 12 months. Orders for the September kit are available now and close on the 10th September with subscription for the October kit starting on September 11th. Scenic Coast craft class
One of Stampin' Up!®s craft classes is the stunning Scenic Coast. It was held on June 19th but is still available for purchase.
Craft along with our Stampin’ Up! product experts during the Scenic Coast Craft Class. They’ll use the Scenic Coast Suite Collection to create four completely unique cards, exploring the versatility of suites with four different paper crafting styles: shabby chic, artful, traditional, and modern. By the end of the class, you’ll have lots of tips, techniques, and inspiration to continue crafting long after the class is over. As with other craft classes, once you purchase the class you will receive an email to join an exclusive facebook group.
World Card Making Day Virtual Card Retreat
To celebrate World Card Making Day 2026, SU have created a product filled kit with supplies to make 15 beautiful cards. Once you purchase that kit for $288 you will receive a link to join an exclusive Facebook group where all of the pre-cutting videos, lists of supplies needed & videos from the day will be posted.
