September 24th 2026 Newsletter. What's been happening at Crafted by Alison plus updates from Stampin' Up®
Hello & welcome to my latest newsletter.
Thank you for taking the time to read my musings & craft offerings. I hope all is well in your world.
This week has been about prepping. There are a few big craft events coming up in the next few weeks so I needed to prep, prep, prep in order to be ready. On Sunday there is the13th Online Stamping Retreat! I have attended every one of them & wouldn't miss them. They are hosted by Lisa Curcio, Gina Hawley, Kylie & Bruno Bertucci & are jam packed with fun folds & fun! I have worked hard, watching the epic prep video provided & have 6 packs of supplies ready for the 6am start. Luckily I'm an early riser anyway but I do feel for Kylie & Bruno who live in Western Australia where the time zone is 2 hours behind, they'll be starting at 4am! YUK.
Next in the preparations was completing some of the Advent-ures in Christmas Craft Class. This is an epic class, not for beginners unless you want a challenge. There are 24 little boxes that need to be stamped & assembled then getting the decorations for each box ready. I'm about half way through this task & am looking forward to seeing the end result. It will take pride of place in my house & be filled with special treats for my daughter to open each day.
The last of the projects I worked on this week are some little gifts to send out to my customers when I post them a complimentary catalogue. They will be sent early next week due to the public holiday tomorrow for the AFL Grand Final parade.
The weather has been typical Melbourne. We've had glorious days of high 20's and even one day of 30 which turned into a cold 14 the next day. My physio quoted a saying to me this week in regards to our weather - "If you don't like the weather, just wait 20 minutes & it will change." This is so funny, not true but it is close to it. On the up side, it's lovely to be able to hang the washing on the line again & to have the doors & windows open & the lovely fresh air coursing through every room.
Socially, we had our monthly Probus meeting with a Footy Colours theme including party pies, sausage rolls, footy colour balloons & lollies. A fun day all round. Today was coffee & cake at a lovely cafe on another beautiful day.
The projects for my blog posts were the September Paper Pumpkin kit - Aspens of Gratitude & different ways to use the masks from the Butterfly Flight Hot Foil bundle. The next task on my list is to complete my first CASE'd card for the Chain Card Swap I am participating in. As I mentioned last week, this is a new venture for me as it involves a blog hop which I've never done before.
Now for the latests news from Stampin' Up!®.
For World Card Day on October 3rd, Stampin' up!® are holding a Virtual Card Retreat on the 2nd & 3rd October with a special kit designed to make 15 cards over the two days. This is my prep project for the coming week.
After last year's Advent Calendar selling out super quickly, Stampin' Up!® are again offering a crafting Advent kit with unique items behind every door over 12 days.
Another Christmas themed item recently released by Stampin' Up!® is the Advent-ures Craft Class. This class features instructions to make 24 Advent gift boxes. The supplies are sold seperately. There is a pic below of what I've completed so far in this project.
The September Product of the Month item is a beautiful pack of foiled DSP which I've been playing around with this week.

Paper Pumpkin kits
Stampin' Up!® Paper Pumpkin kit subscriptions are now available to all markets around the world! You can subscribe to receive a mystery kit every month or buy them individually when you want them. Advent-ures in Christmas craft class
One of the latest Stampin' Up!®s craft classes is the gorgeous Advent-ures class where you can create an Advent calendar made up of decorated boxes, ready to pop lots of lovely treats inside. It is being held tomorrow, 18th September but will be available for purchase & to view with a link to an exclusive Facebook page.
World Card Making Day Virtual Card Retreat
To celebrate World Card Making Day 2026, SU have created a product filled kit with supplies to make 15 beautiful cards. Once you purchase that kit for $288 you will receive a link to join an exclusive Facebook group where all of the pre-cutting videos, lists of supplies needed & videos from the day will be posted.
