All the latest crafting news & information

Welcome to my first newsletter!
A new beginning & a little bit about my creative journey.
Who is Crafted by Alison?
Crafted by Alison was started by me, Alison Culliver, in December 2016 when I took a leap of faith & decided to share my passion for paper crafting by starting a blog. The blog was on Blogspot (craftedbyalison@blogspot.com) & all up I posted 450 times! I started by posting weekly on a Sunday morning then added a mid week post on a Wednesday evening as there was more I wanted to share.
At the same time I had a business page on Facebook (facebook.craftedbyalison.com) where I shared my creations & put some of my stock up for sale.
Having 2 separate sites was manageable but I also wanted to start a newsletter & having 3 different places for content seemed silly & meant I would be double handling a lot of the content.
So, after retiring in mid 2025 & taking another leap of faith I enrolled in a Web Design course to learn how to create a place where I could share all of my creativity, news & information in the one location. Being in my mid 60's I am not tech confident & have spent a lot of time learning how to navigate this new process but learning new things helps to keep you & your brain young & here I am with my first newsletter on my new site.
My creative journey
A little bit about my creative journey. I have always loved to cook, read & create things - knitting, a little bit of sewing, scrapbooking - when the children were younger - but many of these past-times slipped away when my family started to grow & take up more of my time.
As the children grew & became more self sufficient I returned to crafting, in particular card making & paper crafting. I joined Stampin' Up® as an independent demonstrator in March 2020 (COVID was the motivator I think) & have been creating with their products, amongst others, ever since.
I love to create beautiful cards, gifts & home decor & share them with others & I follow many other crafters for inspiration.
What you can expect.
As this is a new learning curve for me, I hope to have a newsletter out each fortnight, possibly increasing the frequency to each week. A lot will depend on what I have to share with you & how much time & information I have to put into the newsletters.
In them I will share what I have been working on, products & specials from Stampin' Up® & possibly links to tutorials. The newsletter will evolve as time goes by & I learn what my readers want me to share.

Last month Stampin' Up® started a new promotion called Product of the Month. This promotion has a new, exclusive item available only for a short period of time for any customer who spends $125(AUD) or more for the price of only $9.
Each month there is a new product and it is only available while stocks last. The details of what type of product it is are provided when the product goes live so it's a little secret! Fun!
Last month, December '25, it was a beautiful pack of blue tones DSP but the Jan '26 product has not been released yet. It could be dies, stamps, more papers, maybe embellishments??? We won't know until it is released. There is a limit of one per customer after the minimum spend is achieved & the product will not be available for purchase any other way. Check out my store if you would like any more information about this promotion.
