Different ways to use the June Product of the Month & colour to create unique projects

Hello & welcome to my blog. I hope you are all well.

My name is Alison & I live in beautiful Melbourne, Australia & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator.

I love to create beautiful things to share with people that I love but I also sell me creations. I have been creating things in one way or another for most of my life - knitting, sewing, cooking, card making, gardening, scrap booking & hand made gifts & in 2020 after joining Stampin' Up® I decided to share my passion in a blog (craftedbyalison@blogspot.com).

In 2025 I retired & decided to spread my creative wings a little more by combining my blog, products that I had been selling on FaceBook & launching a newsletter. Some of these things I had already been doing but this time they are all in the one place. (All previous posts can be found at my blogspot address above if you would to read any of them.)

In this mid week post I am looking at how to combine a simple stamp set - June '26's Product of the Month - Wild Bunch - with colour & have chosen the new In Colours.

Aren't these cute? Both of these cards are Thank You cards as I promised my niece that I would make her a stack of Thank You cards for her theatre group & the hospital that she works at. So you may see a few more Thank You cards in my creations!

In the Wild Bunch stamp set there are 4 cute animals - a bull, snail, koala & penguin - plus some party images, sentiments, foliage & a pattern. I have chosen 2 animals & the pattern for my cards.

For the first card I chose Misty Moonlight cardstock to contrast with the In Colour Hydrangea Hue & co-ordinate with the DSP & added Basic Beige. On a Basic Beige matte I stamped the patterned image along the left & right sides of the card & added a piece of floral Homemade Sweetness DSP along the centre. With the Forever Florals dies I cut a Misty Moonlight matte to go behind the Basic Beige matte that I had stamped & coloured a koala on. I used Smoky Slate, Gray Granite & Pretty In Pink blends as well as the Secret Sea marker to colour the Koala & love the different layers of colour that resulted, pretty similar to the actual colouring of a Koala. I raised it up on dimensionals and added a Misty Moonlight sentiment banner from the Bordered in Beauty dies.

The last step was to add a few 2026-28 In Colour dots.

A nice, quick & easy card to add to the pile

Card number 2 has a Peaceful Pine base with a matte embossed with the Stone & Vine folder for some lovely texture.

For a bold contrast I added some of the gorgeous Luxe White specialty designer paper.

For the focal image & sentiment I blended a Peaceful Pine area for the snail to be stamped on in Gray Granite. I coloured the body with the lovely Crisp Cantaloupe Shimmer brush and the shell with a Golden Glow blend & the Golden Glow Shimmer Brush. This was then diecut with one of the Everyday Arches dies. After raising it on dimensionals, a few of the 2026-28 Golden Glow In Colour dots finished the card.

You can't quite see the sparkle but it's a subtle shine & gives the image a little lift.

So that's if for my creations. I hope you've enjoyed seeing them. These will not be going into my shop but to my niece as I mentioned earlier but if you like them & would like me to create them again, drop me a line on FaceBook or email me at craftedbyalison@gmail.com.

My next post is on Sunday where I will be sharing a Mystery Stamping creation then next Wednesday I have the June Paper Pumpkin kit to share with you. I hope you can join me for both of them.

For now though, that's all I have for you. I have some links below to products used for these cards if you'd like to purchase them from my shop.

Til next time, take care & keep creating! XX Alison
