See four different, beautiful cards created with the one suite

Hello & welcome to my blog. I hope you are all well.

My name is Alison & I live in beautiful Melbourne, Australia & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator.

I love to create beautiful things to share with people that I love but I also sell me creations. I have been creating things in one way or another for most of my life - knitting, sewing, cooking, card making, gardening, scrap booking & hand made gifts & in 2020 after joining Stampin' Up® I decided to share my passion in a blog (craftedbyalison@blogspot.com).

In 2025 I retired & decided to spread my creative wings a little more by combining my blog, products that I had been selling on FaceBook & launching a newsletter. Some of these things I had already been doing but this time they are all in the one place. (All previous posts can be found at my blogspot address above if you would like to read any of them.)

In today's post I share four different cards made using products from the one suite.

In February this year I attended the online Lovely Blossoms Craft Class & created 4 lovely cards & a mini album. They all used components of the Lovely Blossoms suite but all are quite different. I am sharing 4 cards with you today that consist of the original card from the instructions and then 3 extra cards were made with the larger tags included in the DSP. All of the envelopes are decorated to co-ordinate with the cards & the largest card has a purpose made envelope from DSP. I will share the mini album in a future post. I hope you enjoy my creations.

The DSP pack includes 3 double sided sheets that have a pattern on one side & ready to cut tags on the other. These are what were cut up for the first 3 cards.

Here is the first of the cards I created using the larger gift tags as the beginning...

Card #1

The base for this card is Misty Moonlight & I added a Basic White matte embossed with the Beautiful Pattern folder. I added 2 of the tags from the DSP pack with a Cloud Cover Textured Ribbon & white twine bow. The centres of the flower have been enhanced with a blend. The sentiment is stamped in Misty Moonlight on a strip of DSP & was backed with a piece of Cloud Cover diecut with one of the dies from the suite & trimmed. There are a couple of diecut Misty Moonlight leaves added for interest. You may also notice a few diamond shaped pieces scattered like embellishments, those are the centre pieces of the Cloud Cover diecut.

Card #2

This was a lovely easy card to create. It started with a Night of Navy base. Another of the tags is pre-stamped so I simply banner cut the bottom then I stamped a diamond image in Old Olive directly onto it.

To match the image already on the tag I stamped some leaves in Smoky Slate, colouring the centres with a Night of Navy blend & adding a little Daffodil Delight with a sponge dauber. The leaves were diecut from Old Olive. I arranged the blooms & leaves so that the image below showed through. The sentiment has 3 elements - stamped on Basic White in Night of Navy, a Night of Navy backing then a Petal Pink diecut section. The cute bow was created by using 2 pieces of retired pink Baker's Twine.

Card #3

Another Night of Navy card base to begin with a Cloud Cover matte, embossed at an angle with the Lovely Stripes folder.

The centre element is fussy cut from the DSP & has a loop of Misty Moonlight Two Tone cardstock made by gently breaking the cardstock fibres with a bone folder. A sentiment stamped in Old Olive on Old Olive Two Tone cardstock. This is then raised on dimensionals & the card is finished with some Moody Palette Glossy dots.

Card #4

This final card is slightly larger than a regular card (the base is 5" x 7" when assembled) so I purpose made an envelope for it to go in from the DSP. The envelope is finished with some buttons from my stash along with some kitchen twine.

On the White Willow base I stamped some diamond patterns in Old Olive.

Using a strip of White Willow I stamped a full & a half floral image in Night of Navy & a bunch of leaves around them.The same diamond pattern is continued on this piece.

On scraps I stamped more blooms & coloured the centres in Petal Pink with a sponge dauber, adding some Night of Navy stamens with a blend pen. After diecutting the blooms they were added with dimensionals.

Using one of the banner dies I created a Cloud Cover banner to stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy & added it with dimensionals.

The last touch are some Old Olive Moody Palette Glossy dots.

That's it for my creations. I enjoyed creating them earlier this year but the good thing about the Craft Class that they came from is that you have continued access to the instructions & the exclusive Facebook page that hosts the instructional videos.
