Bright, bold colours & patterns are the focus in this Product of the Month spotlight.
Hello & welcome to my mid week blog.
My name is Alison & I live in beautiful Melbourne, Australia & I am an independent Stampin' Up® demonstrator.
I love to create beautiful things to share with people that I love but I also sell me creations. I have been creating things in one way or another for most of my life - knitting, sewing, cooking, card making, gardening, scrap booking & hand made gifts & in 2020 after joining Stampin' Up® I decided to share my passion in a blog (craftedbyalison@blogspot.com).
In 2025 I retired & decided to spread my creative wings a little more by combining my blog, products that I had been selling on FaceBook & launching a newsletter. Some of these things I had already been doing but this time they are all in the one place. (All previous posts can be found at my blogspot address above if you would to read any of them.)
And here we are at my new site!
In December 2025, Stampin' Up® introduced a new incentive called Product of the Month where they release a new product - papers, stamps & possibly other products - available for that month or until stocks sell out. The way to achieve these products is to have a minimum spend of $125 & you can then purchase the item for only $9! I have been lucky enough to purchase each of the items so far & in today's post I am creating using the January '25 stamp set & February '25 DSP. I hope you enjoy the 2 different ways I have used the stamps & paper & it inspires you to get out your own supplies to create.
Here are my 2 cards...

The first card is a simple design with a bright piece of DSP from the Painted Illusions pack as the backdrop for the words from Fabulous Sayings.

I chose to have a bold card base with Cherry Cobbler.
With so many lovely colours in the DSP design I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Soft Sea Foam, Lost Lagoon, Flirty Flamingo, Misty Moonlight & Darling Duckling on a piece of Basic White & added a matte of Strawberry Slush behind it.
Granny Apple Green was the stand out colour contrasting beautifully against the bright Cherry Cobbler so that became the main focus sentiment, raised on dimensionals & backed with a scrap of Cherry Cobbler.
A few 2025-27 In Colour Flat pearls in a blue tone finished off the card. Quick & easy & a great combination of rainbow colours taken from the colours in the DSP.

For the second card I wanted a little more WOW & cut some 1.5cm squares from a different pattern from the DSP pack, adhering them to Pool Party cardstock in a regular pattern across & down the paper.
This was run through the embossing machine with the Beautiful Pattern folder for a unique textured finish, similar to a quilt.

Next I wrapped some Linen Thread 3 times around the bottom section of the matte then added it to a Basic White matte & Darling Duckling base.
The sentiment was stamped in Crumb Cake on Basic White, dovetailed on one end & backed with a strip of Crumb Cake & added to the base with dimensionals.
I love how all of the colours blend so well together on this card - Lost Lagoon, Pool Party, Darling Duckling & Crumb Cake. Not colours that I would have thought of teaming together but they work so well.

This was a great way to use some of the Product of the Month items & showcase the gorgeous colours in the DSP.
That's all I have for my creations in this post but there are more fun ways to create & craft coming up in my next posts.
On Sunday I will be sharing some alternative creations made with supplies from the Handmade & Heartfelt kit.
My next mid week post will look at a funfold that is stunning but easy to create.
I hope you can join me for both of them.
Next week will be a busy week as I host a crafting day in my home for the ladies in my Probus group then head off to Sydney for the Stampin' Up® OnStage event. This is when Stampin' Up® share their new catalogue with demonstrators & we get to have a little play with some of the upcoming products. This is my first in person Onstage event as the last one I attended was online due to COVID.
It's exciting but means that the weeks leading up to it are extra busy as I get posts ready ahead of time & have a scheduled release of them.
I will be sharing some sneak of the products peaks after the event & hopefully some samples in future posts when I return.
Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed my creations.
If you would like to purchase any of the products I used you can visit my online store here or click on any of the links below.
Til next time, take care & keep creating!
